Primary Arterial Supply to the Uterus

About the illustration
This illustration was created to visualize unique lateral to medial trajectory of the uterine artery as it passes through the cardinal ligament of the uterus.
This characteristic trajectory can be difficult to identify on imaging, especially for students and residents still becoming familiar with pelvic vascular anatomy. Emphasizing the lateral-to-medial course of the uterine artery in this illustration aims to support pattern recognition and improve confidence when interpreting cross-sectional imaging.
The illustration was created in collaboration with Dr. Erin Gomez, and is intended to be used as a teaching aid for radiology residents.
