About the brochure

This brochure is part of a larger multimedia educational initiative developed for my thesis, which explores the intersection of ovarian cancer prevention and permanent birth control: an area where patient-facing materials do not exist. To address this gap, I created a brochure that defines and differentiates salpingectomy and tubal ligation, emphasizing their role in reducing ovarian cancer risk.

The brochure features an anatomical overview to help readers visualize how each procedure affects their reproductive anatomy, along with an FAQ section informed by common questions and misconceptions I encountered while shadowing providers, interviewing stakeholders, and engaging with patients.

Designed for distribution in clinical settings, this brochure serves as a clear, accessible resource for individuals navigating their options for permanent birth control.
