About the interactive

This interactive is part of the larger multimedia educational materials developed for my thesis, which explores the intersection of ovarian cancer prevention and salpingectomy. It was created as supplementary material for individuals navigating the surgical consent process for permanent birth control. The interactive addresses common gaps in understanding by illustrating reproductive anatomy and demonstrating how salpingectomy and tubal ligation differ as procedures.

A manipulable 3D model of idealized, simplified anatomy allows users to engage directly with these concepts, supporting clearer understanding of each procedure and its implications. It also introduces the concept of ovarian cancer risk reduction through fallopian tube removal. To support accessibility and broaden the impact of the content, the interactive is available in both English and Spanish.
