Created after observing a left ovary-preserving laparoscopic hysterectomy performed by Dr. Rebecca Stone, this surgical illustration highlights a critical moment in the procedure: division of the mesosalpinx with bipolar forceps, carefully following the ovarian artery and vein to preserve the ovary’s blood supply. This step is essential in ovary-preserving hysterectomies, as it ensures the ovary remains functional and adequately perfused postoperatively.
