DESCRIPTION

The use of ZBrush was explored to model basic vertebral lumbar, intervertebral disc, and adjacent sacral anatomy. This short animation visualizes the progression of a lumbar intervertebral disc herniation, from stage one deformation to stage 4 sequestration with spinal nerve root compression. By sculpting each stage, the pathological process was translated into a clear, tangible model that can support medical education and patient communication.
